I feel like I just never get anything done completely

I've got a few pictures of my nearly-finished demi-polonaise on the dress form - it doesn't fit right because the stupid form is too small (my birthday checks didn't quite come up to the amount for a Uniquely You form, so that's another "I'll let myself do it when I get a job" thing) but it's nearly good enough. I also need linen for a shift and to line the caraco I want to make with the rest of the curtain fabric, but again, it's really hard to justify getting 5-6yds (at $7.96 on fabrics-store.com, that's ... $39.80-47.76, which might actually be less than what I'd have to add to my birthday money for the dress form). I'm going to go check my supply to see if I've got enough for the caraco (even if I have to use the old linen/cotton blend I bought ages ago - I don't recommend it, it's really slubby and has too much tooth), but I know I don't have enough for a shift.

I'm watching this French period film, Ridicule, and the costumes are pretty bad but it's worth it for the eighteenth century rap battle I just witnessed. What a burn!

I applied to a bunch of jobs this morning, and I have a museum position to alter a cover letter for, so that's good. I'll work on my book for a while and email a couple of museums so I can sew later.

Going to have to try to talk Mom into taking me here ... although it's a bit cold for dressing up in what I have.
