So I went in and had a great interview! I just emailed my writing samples (FIT papers) and I think I'll be coming in tomorrow or next week for a second interview with the other person who works there. She didn't even seem put off by the fact that I admitted to intending to work in museums when I get the chance. When I look at the paper she gave me the whole thing looks less scary, too - there are stories sent in from other regions, there are notices, it's not like it's all "quick! find a hot-button pumpkin-growers' issue!"

There's an excellent online exhibition on Mainbocher and Worth that I think would be of interest even to my non-fashion history friends. It's been up for a while, so I may be repeating myself (I know I meant to link it ages ago).

Trying to get into posting on Tumblr more often so it's not just "here's a preview of stuff on my blog, go there and read more" or my arguing about Marie Antoinette. And it's really good for me to keep practicing writing labels for specific garments, because I have a tendency to take a dress as an example of a period or designer - which can be fine if you're doing an exhibition that runs through a number of time/artistic periods or is full of designers, but for an exhibition on a single time period or designer it's useless.
