- AAAAAH The Formally Invited tea in Kinderhook was the bomb, I went not knowing anyone there apart from Kjirsten and ended up meeting a ton of people, telling them about me, my thesis project, my Etsy store, and the ESC and giving several people my card. (I met someone from the Victorian Social Club who told me that Sue McLane, "The Victorian Lady", is the person to get in touch with to get in touch with the group.) I learned to dance and it was awesome, definitely gives a different perspective on various scenes/characters in Austen to learn first-hand how strenuous an activity it is.

- I swear to god, my dash is so often full of things like this and it's like, people, I like you a whole lot or I'd have unfollowed you ages ago, but why is it always ROSE ROSE ROSE I LOVE HER SHE'S AMAZING with occasional spots of Donna love? Why no Martha adulation? Maybe I'll go into Martha's tag and spam some posts about Martha. Also, why is "she came back and saved the universe" a bad reason for disliking her? JFC.

- In one week my blog got linked to by American Duchess and The Beheld, which is pretty awesome.

- Trying to do the no-'poo thing. I washed my hair with baking soda and vinegar this morning. At first it didn't feel like it was clean, then it did, then it stopped feeling either way. IDK. I already only wash it every few days when it feels like it needs it, because it's thick and kind of coarse, so I'm hoping my hair's oil level is already closer to natural. Probably that's not how it works or something.

Because I haven't actually made any regular stuff for myself in months and months apart from this spencer. Fucking corsets, man. If you don't want to make a corset you can't really make anything else. Anyway:
- An 1863-64 dress copied from one of my magazines, probably Peterson's (ignoring the fact that not only would I need to make a new corset I'd also have to make a cage crinoline, ye gods)
- The early 1820s evening dress I patterned (like this in overall effect, but in gold and with different appliqués; sleeves more like this) and a corset very similar to this one
- SODDING EARLY MANTUA
- Full on robe parée, let's do this
- Sort of even more abstractly in terms of "wanting", I mean I don't care that much, but this specific outfit shows up in three different Francis Coates paintings and so there is a part of me that thinks that would make it cool to recreate, idek
