3k words on my article so far! That's the one good thing about this job, there's a lot of time to write. I'd say right now I'm the most fascinated with Queen Adelaide as she seems to be the one who had an actual hand in the Great 1830s Transition rather than Victoria.

Am completely mystified as to how anybody at all could read the scene where Catelyn confessed to having prayed for Jon to die, then regretted it and nursed him, but went back on her promise to consider him her own son as demonizing Catelyn. I can't tell if this is the usual Tumblr idiocy or if I'm the idiot because I think it shows both her frailty and her strength, and fits perfectly with her character. I actually had a long "was this in the book???" moment because I couldn't tell. PLEASE ADVISE

I don't remember Queen Adelaide at all. I must have known she existed at some point. Can you recommend any biographies of her?

Austen and Robin Hood: these are relevant to my interests. Those would be some interesting crossover AUs.

I went looking for it over the Bitch in a Bonnet book, because he maintained that Austen wrote MP as penance and was trying to write the most morally upright, priggish heroine she could ... it just stuck me as not at all something Austen would do, and this makes much more sense.

Adelaide was married to William IV, brother of George IV. Sadly I don't know of any good biographies!

I would read it.
