Sep. 23rd, 2013 09:43 pmJust got back from watching Iron Jawed Angels at the library and am now depressed. Yet exulted. That movie is tricky. At least I knew the force-feeding was coming this time and could look away (although I was extremely tense until it did).
Actually, I would love a Matilda Joslyn Gage movie set in the 1870s, dealing with the conflicts within the women's rights movement. She was a serious anti-racism activist and stood firm against the creepy goals of the temperance movement! Her views on abortion were weird but interesting! It will never happen, but should.
