Not much left for lunch, sadly
Jun. 6th, 2014 07:40 amThe Google Art Project ... confuses me. I mean, not the concept, it's a great concept, but I don't know how I feel about it. They don't have accession numbers, you see. It bothers me on a deep level. You know how I am about accession numbers. It's not very Pinterest-friendly, or right-click-open-in-new-tab friendly. I'm dealing by saving everything I come across within the site (except that's not perfect because I suspect I have overlap with Pinterest now). But apparently you can create your own mini-exhibitions? That's pretty great.
Last night I took Mom out to Little India - I told her on Mother's Day that I was going to do it when she had time, and with my book getting contracted it was time for a celebration! I didn't think ahead of time about the gluten issue, but then remembered that Indian food (minus naan and some other side dishes) doesn't tend to involve sauces that are thickened with flour. Just to be safe, though, she went with biryani (while I learned that pakora in sauce are not as good as crispy pakora on their own).
