chocolatepotThis is such a silly thing that I feel like it doesn't even make sense to post, but on the other hand I feel like I'm looking at things very differently now (and I'm only at 1813 - this is going to take forever). But going through all of these fashion plates makes me realize that fashion, especially pre-designers, didn't move gradually the way it's talked about. Or rather, it moves gradually, but stepping forward and back. What I mean is that in the 1800s, the skirt didn't gradually get broader at the bottom and shorter, you get multiple styles coexisting and then gradually one gets more popular. Not because some people are behind the times and some are ahead, but because there's not really anybody in charge the way Worth and Pingat and Redfern were.
It's just like human evolution - branching and ending. ~And I think that's beautiful.~
Other things, other things. Today I discovered that all my cake was moldy. It was old and I didn't really want to eat it anyway, so score.
My wrist has been hurting even worse this week. I thought it was just the humidity/air pressure, but today the weather was very good. I'm definitely going to go to the doctor soon.
