Done dealing with the book! I've got it all burned to a disc and after work tomorrow I'll mail it. Unfortunately, I finished it just after the post office closed and apparently you can't do self-service for international mail. Going out tomorrow it should get there Dec. 1 as scheduled, or maybe the next day. It seems like the contract got there just a couple of days after I sent it back.

Not going to be able to go to any Victorian Strolls this year due to work and the interview. Which is too bad but I don't have anything I'd like to wear, anyway - the Regency dress has been on hold since I realized when the contract date was. I'll be wearing my ill-fitting Cranford dress to be in a tableau vivant at Clermont (as Cornelia Livingston), hopefully with a shawl or something to hide the problems. Exciting! Must remember to ask for the 14th off. And maybe to make a couple of new petticoats as nothing I have really fits properly under it - and/or a short crinoline to help hold out the skirt to the right level of fluff.

I'm going to start a powerpoint show on Regency dress, because AIHA is interested in having a lecture/book signing after the book's out and probably the Farmer's Museum and the state museum and Cherry Hill will as well. Maybe even Sturbridge? It feels arrogant to guess that, but they contributed four garments so they might like to get in on it. Anyway, it's best to be prepared and to strike while the iron is hot.

ETA: So everyone is all worked up about the storm, but it's projected to do barely anything here. I had talked Mom into chilling out about it, but then Ron called and worked her into a tizzy, so she drove down to Gramma's this evening (even though driving at night makes her REALLY stressed). I'm going down to Albany after work tomorrow, and I've promised not to go anywhere if it's bad ... but I don't anticipate much of a problem. Everyone upstate acts like stuff happening a hundred miles away is totally relevant to us all because technically we're in the same state, I don't quite get it. The NOAA says 3-5" from here to Binghamton.
