Feb. 27th, 2015 01:05 pmI just watched New Girl, and laughed until I cried and then until my stomach hurt at the CeeCee/popcorn machine cross-talk. So predictable at first but then it just kept going on and on and I kept thinking Jess would say, "wait, what are you talking about?" but it never happened. Holy crap.
I keep coming up with all these hilariously unlikely things I'm totally going to do when I live on my own. Yes, I'm going to sew all the time. I'm going to knit sweaters. I'm going to cook Indian food every day.
Kind of :/ with Dedalvs on Tumblr. He's the guy who does the conlangs for Game of Thrones and other shows. I started following him a while ago despite thinking that the one he did for The 100 made no sense, and after reading a few of his posts on it and his answers to people I sent in an ask saying, basically, "it sounds like Trigedasleng was a deliberate code that became a language, can you say more about the history there?" That was months ago, but at one point he said that he has a big backlog, so I was like, okay, cool. But then a week or two ago he said, in response to no specific ask, that languages change over time and it makes total sense for the grounders to have a new language that developed out of English, and he wishes people would stop asking about that. Well then.
