Mar. 11th, 2015 05:27 pmGot collections keys today! So I went up and got the first two deed-of-gift binders. Ohhhhhh deeeeeear. I might skip up to the 1960s because the 1950s records are often either not numbered or renumbered as part of some FIC accession or something ridiculous. There are also a bunch that came in as a group but have different group numbers because they were just not doing things right. But I'm adding an initial 0 to the group and individual numbers as I go, so that the occasional three-digit one doesn't throw everything off.
Having a sewing dilemma, please advise. (I think the red one will show the detailing better, but I bought a zipper only for the navy ... I did not choose the fabrics based on their similarities to the pattern packet.)
So despite my resolution to become a Sewing Person, I haven't been sewing over the past two days. But that has to change, because I need this '40s dress for the antique show/silent auction in late April (which isn't an issue, it'll take a weekend), and I also need to finish my barely-started 1860s dress for the Civil War Weekend in July. Definitely buying a finished hoop for that, I think. I already know that I can't do the rivets myself, I just don't have the hand strength.
