chocolatepotI'm trying to change my mental roadmap for when I comment and everyone else stops from "Way to go, Cassidy, you've given everyone else secondhand embarrassment," to "Way to go, Cassidy, nobody can top that sick burn/really helpful information." (In this case it coincides with my saying something positive about myself, which is difficult anyway.)
Haven't sewed since Monday, I've just been too tired. I got so much work done this week at work - listed a bunch of books for deaccession, contacted people to find out what to do with unaccessioned property (hopefully there's something simple), accessioned lots of paper stuff, scanned things ... Dad and Melissa are coming today, so I probably won't sew until this evening, but I know what I have to do: hem back neckline in layers separately, and stitch down darts. Then add the straps (which I cut on the selvage so I don't have to hem them). Attaching the skirt is tricky because I have to take a tuck around the bottom before I take a tuck down the center front, which I have to do before I actually attach it. :/
Cleaned up a little! And I have everything sent in to Kristy so I can stop feeling anxious about RWD. It's done. Hopefully I will get a release date so I can start planning talks at some of the museums where I patterned oh shit I can't deal with this at all.
