I put some stuff up on eBay the other day. One has a bid! This is very exciting. Normally I would just take them to the consignment store, but I had always intended to sell the pajama top/sleepshirt on eBay since I never even used it, and since I was putting that up I thought I might as well do the rest. Obviously I'd love it if they all got up to the Buy It Now prices (or if people just bought them), but as long as I get a couple dollars and get rid of the stuff, I'm fine.

So much sorting and unpacking. :( I have a ton of jeans/shorts/capris to go through and see what fits and what's too ripped to keep.

OH MY GOD I'm watching SVU (yes, at 9 in the morning) and BROYLES is playing a nameless police officer who takes Benson to a dead body!

Yesterday I wrote a proper email to M, like the kind of thing you'd send if you were writing a letter on paper. I'm so proud of myself! Today I need to call people about cars and call the Dance Museum to work out a time to come in (which will be much easier if I can find a car).

I just watched the Steve Coogan Samuel Pepys show yesterday - great costumes, really, and I'm not just saying that because I love the period. They did a good job showing the difference between the Cromwellian styles and the Restoration.

And everything is so green. Took pictures, will upload later. Yesterday I went out with Dad to help appraise some farm/woodland properties, and while we were driving I thought about the feeling I'd had when we were driving out of Manhattan - that I'm dooming myself to creative stagnation because omg so much ~inspiration~ there that I never took advantage of! But then I realized that for all that people talk about how inspiring and magical the city is, the books I like best are ones that draw from forests and villages and oldness (eg Austen, Diana Wynne Jones, Susanna Clarke) - and there's plenty of that around here. So then I felt better.

I found a 2001 Honda Civic on Craigslist that I'm going to call about today. \o/ Wonderful fuel efficiency and it's located in Greenwich.

Need to send transcript request form so the Dept. of Labor will give me my money!!

J and I are going to have a tea party tomorrow. Right now I've got cream in the oven, hopefully turning into clotted cream, and I'm also going to make banana bread, iced strawberry tea punch, Devonshire splits (hence the cream), and little strawberry tarts. Although something might get cut out.

This book sounds adorable and I fully plan to read it at some point.
