chocolatepot: Ed and Stede ([dovecote] thinking)
I put some stuff up on eBay the other day. One has a bid! This is very exciting. Normally I would just take them to the consignment store, but I had always intended to sell the pajama top/sleepshirt on eBay since I never even used it, and since I was putting that up I thought I might as well do the rest. Obviously I'd love it if they all got up to the Buy It Now prices (or if people just bought them), but as long as I get a couple dollars and get rid of the stuff, I'm fine.

So much sorting and unpacking. :( I have a ton of jeans/shorts/capris to go through and see what fits and what's too ripped to keep.

OH MY GOD I'm watching SVU (yes, at 9 in the morning) and BROYLES is playing a nameless police officer who takes Benson to a dead body!

Yesterday I wrote a proper email to M, like the kind of thing you'd send if you were writing a letter on paper. I'm so proud of myself! Today I need to call people about cars and call the Dance Museum to work out a time to come in (which will be much easier if I can find a car).

I just watched the Steve Coogan Samuel Pepys show yesterday - great costumes, really, and I'm not just saying that because I love the period. They did a good job showing the difference between the Cromwellian styles and the Restoration.

The good: Mom and I are going to the Johnstown Johnson Hall Market the weekend after next, which is basically a Revolutionary War Faire, and a demo-type thing at Ft. Ticonderoga the weekend after. Not in costume since we don't have any, but we can talk to people and get an idea of how to get involved (after I make my thesis project ...). It should be very fun! If very sunny and hot.

The bad: The car I was going to see this evening has been sold already. The trouble with Craigslist is that Dad and I have to be prepared to just go as soon as we contact someone about their ad, because everything sells the day/the day after it's posted.

The old-fashioned: I spent a lot of time today playing stuff out of Favorite Songs of the [18]Nineties. It's kind of funny how many of the songs I know from albums I've bought. I can't play all of them, just ones with simpler left-hand parts (generally there's a lot of bum-DUM-DUM sorts of things), and I can't really play them fast enough to sing along with properly. But I can play Daisy Bell and In My Merry Oldsmobile and After the Ball!
